Published rates so you can plan. Conveyancing is fixed fee. Criminal and family work is charged hourly, and Legal Aid is available for eligible clients.
Criminal Fees
Charged by the hour. What a matter costs depends on how it resolves. A negotiated outcome or diversion costs far less than a defended hearing.
Legal Aid. Available for eligible clients. You can only choose your own lawyer if your charge is very serious. Check eligibility.

Bureau fee

Fee Questions
How much does a conveyancing lawyer cost in Tauranga?
A property purchase is $1,150 + GST, a sale is $900 + GST, a refinance is $750 + GST and changes to a mortgage are $500 + GST. Each is plus the $60 bureau fee and disbursements.
What is the bureau fee?
The bureau fee is $60 excluding GST. It covers file management, AML checks, printing, copying and tolls.
Do you offer a SuperGold discount?
Yes. SuperGold cardholders receive 5 percent off conveyancing legal fees. The discount applies to legal fees only, not disbursements.
Can I get Legal Aid instead of paying fees?
Legal Aid is available for eligible clients in both criminal and family matters. It is treated as a loan, so you may need to pay some or all of it back. Check the income thresholds on our Legal Aid eligibility page.
