Hine Eagle Barristers & Solicitors collects and handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020. This policy explains how we do that through this website.

What we collect

Through this website we collect only what you choose to give us in an enquiry: your name, phone number, email address, the type of matter, and whatever you tell us about your situation.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, to check whether we are able to act for you, and to carry out the conflict and client identification checks we are required to complete before taking on work.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to act for you, where we use a service provider to help operate this website or our practice, or where the law requires it, for example our obligations under the AML/CFT Act.

Service providers and overseas storage

Some of the services we use to operate this website, including the enquiry form and the map on our contact page, are provided by third parties who may store or process information outside New Zealand. We take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that any provider handling personal information protects it to a comparable standard.

Storage and security

Enquiry details are held in our practice systems and are accessible only to our people. We keep information only as long as we need it, or as long as our professional and legal obligations require.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies of its own. Third-party content such as the map on our contact page may set its own cookies and will see your IP address when it loads.
