Grace Choi

Grace is a solicitor in our Family Law Team. She graduated from the University of Waikato in 2025 with a bachelors degree in law.

Born in Seoul, South Korea and raised in Tauranga, Grace brings a rich cultural perspective to her work. She has also lived in Australia and previously worked in Korea as an English teacher.

Grace began her legal career in August 2021 as a Deputy Court Registrar at the Tauranga Family Court, a role she held until January 2025. As part of her broader role, she supported the Court as a Back up District Court Scheduler and gained valuable exposure to proceedings under the Mental Health, Compulsory Assessment and Treatment, Act. Her experience with the Ministry of Justice has equipped her with extensive knowledge of Family Court procedures and practices.

Grace is bilingual in English and Korean, allowing her to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
